In april of this year I paid off all my credit cards which was like 3 or 4 of them now I only have a car payment. My credit score is 593 and with me not having any credit cards I dont think my score will go up anymore. Does anybody know of any credit cards that I can get with my credit score that will give me a limit over $300 so I can try and raise my score by using it and paying it off?
Try Juniper or Merrick bank. You may also consider having a family member or friend add you to an existing, positive account (revolving). That would give you some much needed avaliable credit.
I dont need the money so its not really the line of available credit i need. I just heard that a higher credit limit is better for your credit score. is this true? new millenium bank has a diamond card that seemed to be pretty good you know anything about this card?
Yes, that's what Apex is referring to. A good part of your score is the ratio of credit used (your balance) as opposed to the available credit. So increasing your available credit (the credit limit) raises your score, especially if you're using less than about 30% of the limit. I don't know anything about the card you mention.
They are a sub-prime lender that is purportedly worse than most. I don't know that from personal experience. I think you'd be better off to raise your scores and thereafter, get a decent product.
Most of the credit cards that you may qualify for will probably not be the best deal. Most of the time they charge you fees and reduce your limit before you even get the card and charge you annual fees and it is just not worth it. I would try to get my score up more by keeping what you have current and possibly being a authorized user on a good account. When your score goes up try Capital One they offer cards that are good for people who need to restablish credit check the website
Please tell me this is supposed to be a joke. Please. OK, in case you were serious: Capital One is the devil incarnate. Stay away! Stay far, far away!
It depends. I have a prime card with Cap One. They gave me a BT option, 3.9% until paid, no processing fee. That was several years ago. But the point is that Cap One does have some decent products, you just have to be careful with them.
