I started to build my credit 15 months ago and have 3 subprime cards. I'm waiting for the right moment to apply for a prime card (most likely Citibank AA Advantage)... Anyway, every time I open my mail there's cc(s) offers all the time, I mean every week I get pre-approved offers from Discover, Aria, FCNB, MBNA, Citibank, and others. Is this normal? Where did they get my address? The excess amount of offers is starting to bother me some... and already thinking about buying a paper shredder. Any comments? TIA
EXPERIAN, TRANSUNION, AND EQUIFAX SELL YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS (WITH OTHER LIMITED INFORMATION) TO THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES FOR MONEY$$$$ UNLESS YOU "OPT-OUT". SEND ME SOME...I ONLY GET ONE OR TWO A MONTH.
