AFTER Disputing a few items on my CR I received an online update stating 1 updated,1removed,1 remains...my question pertains to the updated one. On my CR as of last month it showed a balance of xxx amount, I diputed it because I have 2 letters showing it was paid of in 2003. does the new balance date on the "updated" report I just pulled mean it was "re-aged" so that it looks like I just paid it as opposed to the real payoff date of over 2 years ago?I know theres a difference between balance date and last active date, but I cant seem to see anything listed as last active on the following report.... Thanx Collection Department / Agency / Attorney Type of Business: Other Collection Agencies Terms: 1 Month Account Status: Closed Monthly Payment: $0 Date Open: Feb, 2003 Balance: $0 Balance Date: Apr 9, 2005 High Balance: Not reported Credit Limit/Orig. Amt.: $405 Past Due: $0 Remarks: Not reported Payment Status: Paid, was a collection account, insurance claim or government claim or was terminated for default
they never report the DOLA - you have to call and ask them what they have as the DOLA. experian sucks.
Thank you Jen, Ill have to call them.....I was happy to see thay had deleted one, and correctly updated another, but gotta say I was a tad disappointed to see the beacon only go up 5 points......
