WOW this forum is fantastic. I wish I would have tripped on this when i first started my war against the CRAs. I have made some serious mistakes, but I see all is nt lost. I have a question.. let me start with my situation: I am seeking to clear items from my report in an effort to meet the minimum allowed by a leasing company to move into their community with a $300 deposit rater than two month rent deposit (uh that'd be $3000..ouch). I have been successful in getting several erroneous trade lines removed including several utilities that were truly not mine (no really). Here's my question... the Leasing company only looks at the last 24 months in making their decision. I have had no bad accounted begin in the last 24 months, most are much older than this. My problem.. I believe it is called reaging and please please please someone educate me on this. Here's an example (this was actually removed because it wasn't me but good ex): Palisade Collection Inc og creditor ATT opened: 1-2001 reported since: 5-2001 date of status: 5-2001 last reported: 2-2004 OUCH, this last reported date put this item in the negative column for me with the Leasing company. Is this reaging? Can I submit a dispute on this. I have until May 2 to get this stuff cleared please HELP!!! -Robyn
Doesn't look like re-aging. Most companies re-report all the time. Just look at a current Visa tradeline, which also reports every month. Re-aging would be more like them changing the date opened.
