Just received my letter of denial from Bank one for Visa Platinum. Is there anything I can do, all or request human to look over file. Says I got collections, (1 from 1997 that is in dispute), public record?, acct. over 120 days. (also in dispute) am I doomed? EF 585 4-26-02
They did you a favor!! You don't want that card!! Do a quick search on google and see al the bad stuff they do.
I'm with breeze on that comment. My guess for the denial is your score. At bottom of your post you wrote 585. Bank One's cc unit is a prime cc in name only. Best regards, Mirage
Do not go to the web site that is posted above. I tried it and could not get out. I got 13 pop up ads. Finally had to shut the computer off to get away from them. I hate those sites.
Even after shutting down my computer, I got 6 more popup ads for a total of 19. Stay away from that web site.
Fully agree! They merged with First USA back in 97 and ruined a very good card in the name of $$$. Best way to tell if a card stinks - look at the first letters of each word: BO And on that advice, I have since stayed away from First Union GT
