Yes, there is something about Mary. Something very special that we should all be aware of because it's something that each and everyone of us should always try to remember and try to copy her example to the best of our ability to do so.

What was it that was so special about Mary? She knew the law, she knew she was right and that gave her the confidence she needed to stand up and fight for what was right. So that made her very special and that collector knew she was right and he had better fly right.

And that's the lesson that we all need to learn and learn well. Take the time and the trouble to learn the law as it applies to the situation at hand and you will also be just as confident and just as strong as Mary. You don't have to be a Philadelphia Lawyer to do it either.

Another example. LizardKing and I and many more people right here on creditnet can write excellent validation letters and post them on the board for all to read and use. We can post them until everybody is blue in the face reading them.

If those who use them know the law and know what a proper return to their demand consists of then they are like Mary and know what to do next in the event that a proper and timely answer is not received. If they don't know those things, then they are just about whipped before they ever send the letter off in the first place and they may even end up in worse shape than if they never heard of a validation letter.

I just hope that someday everybody is like Mary. She is special alright because she helped teach a valuable lesson we all need to learn.

    That's exactly right, Mr. Brown.
