Is there anyway to get Equifax to put back on a tradeline? It was from 95. made my history 8 years, They bumped it off now its only 4 years. Cost me 28 points.
Mine got bumped when I asked for verification on some collections! They removed all closed accounts that were good! Now my credit appears to be only 23 months long.
Same thing happened as well ... Just after my last round of disputes, a lot of "+" TL's began dropping like flies ... It really hurt to see my flawless GMAC car loan get the axe!!! (sure would like to get that one reinserted)
When I am done with fixing the problems on my report, I am going to see if I can't get them to re-insert them. But I don't want to tick them off until I have to!
pdinka, It might be wise to try for reinsertion ASAP ... as all the information and paperwork is still fresh & available. The more "time marches on" you'll get less cooperation from 2nd & 3rd parties who have no incentive or ambition to trudge through filing cabinet upon filing cabinet searching for documents that prove a particular loan doc. existed. Worse yet, some CO's part with closed records very quickly. (BTW... I doubt you'll "p/o" anyone if your simply inquiring to have a "+" TL reinserted ... It's probably the most enjoyable inquiry a CB employee gets!
