Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? which Maybe he has the UYQF (unless you're Questy factor) working for him, so he'll need more time.
Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? w From what I've read in this forum, it would appear that the best bet as far as a jump from a sub prime to a prime would indeed be BofA. My rambling for the most part was to share what logic, or in some cases lack of logic, that was given to me from my attempts to break into the prime world, as well as share some thoughts with DanS, who seems to be in somewhat of a similar situation as I. (These are put into my own words, but are basically what I was told by customer service reps when I asked about rejections)... - don't think because you have done business with one division of a bank that will help you out with another. (For instance just because you have an Auto Loan with them that doesn't necessarily mean squat when you apply for a credit card.) - don't think because you have done a lot to improve your credit rating that you'll persuade a company that normally black lists folks with BK's to take a chance on you. As for me, yeah, probably someday soon I'll give BofA a shot. Right now I just feel I've struck out too much lately and need to chill and let some of the inquiries work their way off. After no inquiries for about a year, I've wasted four in the past month.
Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? which Yes, I have. Unfortunately, it's all there, and I could now attempt to quibble over an amount, but I've looked on Pacer and because my last name is unusual, it comes up every time.
Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? which did you have to liquidate any of your assets in BK? I am thinking about doing it...
Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? which Disputing the BK's... Well, it might work for one CRA, at best two CRA's. But successfully disputing/removing a valid BK from ALL THREE CRA's is quite a different story. I know from experience that the big prime issuers can and do pull more than 1 credit report. Also, you may get surprised as I was when BofA pulled EQF on me after all indications were that they pulled TU.
Re: Re: Re: ready for prime time? which Mongrol, that's a whole 'nother thread but... you can keep something like 10 or 15k. I kept my car, reaffirmed the loan, and my "stuff" at home and $5k in savings.
