    Hi all,

I've been lurking around the board a bit and you guys have definitely motivated me to start disputing the info on my credit report. I need some info if someone could assist.

Is it better to send certified letters or to dispute online? If it's better by mail, are the addresses to the CRA's posted somewhere? I've been searching and searching for Equifax's address with no luck so far.

I have 3 paid tax liens (1 1/2 years since last activity) and 2 paid medical collections that have the same two sources. Should I dispute these as 5 individual items or as one dispute for the 3 tax liens and another for the 2 medical collections?

I found the dispute letter that indicates the CRA should provide me with something I signed as proof of the debt. Is this the appropriate letter to send in these circumstances? (Particularly with the liens.)

We've had no late payments in well over two years, but these liens are killing our scores.

Last question...there are a few other minor issues as well, like a Capital One line that we never accepted which shows as a 0 high credit closed by customer. I don't think it should be there at all dragging the averages down.

Should I send all of the disputes at the same time or space them out over a few days? Does it matter?

Thanks very much for any assistance any of you folks can provide.

Do not use this letter to dispute with the credit bureaus, this is a letter you send to collection agencies who are trying to collect an old debt.

It is best to dispute one or two entries at a time. We have found they ignore the others.

Is it preferable to send the dispute letter via Certified Mail or just do an online investigation?

Either one works fine. Your choice.

Just to cya if you send by mail, send it certified, r/r/r and if you dispute online, print out a copy of the dispute to keep.
