I began my journey over a year ago. My husband now has completely clean credit. I'm down from 49 to 2 negs on 2 reports. I've exhausted all letter writting, etc., have compiled their violations and am now ready to file. Question 1: I now live in Tampa, FL. Creditor in TX. As far as I know they are local to TX only, lets assume that, and do NOT do any business in FL. I am under the impression I cannot sue them in FL. What other recourse do I have against this OC who has ignored all letters and attempt to resolve this out of court? Question 2: Back up plan: Sue Experian for their violations on same account. Again I live in Tampa, FL, their affiliate is CDS in Maitland, FL (close to Orlando). I'm assuming I can sue them from Tampa, but unsure. I know Lizardking ran into this as he's in the same town, but they settled before he filed, so he never said that he filed against them in Tampa and served in Maitland...hence my question. I'd rather not drive 2 hours to Maitland to handle this, would rather from Tampa. Clerk told me if I file incorrectly, I do not get my filing fee back, so I want to be sure. Please advise? Thanks, Shan
On Question 1, I didnt mean what recourse do I have out of court...I meant they ignored all my attempts to reslove this out of court. hehe I'm ready to sue, just need some direction as to how!
