    All,

A CA on my CR has until tomorrow to respond to my ITS letter and I've heard nothing and honestly don't expect to hear anything. I've received the court papers in the mail and was told the maximum I could sue for is $25,000.00 (I live in Maryland) but I don't know if I have enough violations to equal that. Should I still sue for the maximum? In addition to these violations:

    1) After they rec'd my validation request, they called attempting to collect on debt.
    2) They reported tradeline to EQ after they received my DV request and before validating to me.
    3) They pulled hard inquiry when I started dispute through EQ.
    4) They verified with EQ without validating to me first.
    5) They didn't mark my account as disputed.

I have two denial letters showing that the reason for denial is my CA listing. This is my only CA listing and only major derog for my EQ file (the file they pulled and the only file that the CA has reported to). Also, the violations are the same for both me and my husband. Can we file separately or must we file together?

    TIA.
