Can someone point me to a section that gives the legal definition of REAGING and the grounds that can be used against a creditor for following this practice. If you can point this out to a credit bureau what is needed to show them that its been reaged and should be deleted. I have 2 accounts that have been hanging since 1998 without a payment. The creditors continue to show the status as 2002, 2003, and I am sure soon to reflect 2004. There has been no activity since 1998 and they make it look like payments or a last payment was made 24 hrs ago and as a result the 7 year term remAINS UNCLEAR. aLSO WHY IS IT THAT ON SOME ACCOUNTS WITH EXPERIAN IT TELL SYOU WHEN IT WILL BE REMOVED AND ON OTHER CASES THEY DONT WHICH ALLOWS THE REAGING PRACTICE. THANKS
You need to call Experian and see when it is scheduled to come off your report. That is really the only way to tell with them.
Jodi, Isn't the "Scheduled to remain until" date on Ex. anymore? I have no baddies so I don't know. ???
some accounts it reflects when it comes off and then on other accounts experian does not show when it comes off.

No...unfortunately. There is nothing on the cr's that (usually) will allow you to figure the DOLA for 7 yr reporting.
