Experian Report dated 03/01/04 shows an account like this:

    Date Opened: 07-1998
    Dte Reported Since: 10/1998

    Date of Status: 06-2003
    Last Reported 02-2004

Report dated 04/13/2004 shows same account like this:

    Date Opened: 07-1998
    Date Reported Since: 03/2000

    Date of Status: 04/2004
    Last Reported: 04/2004

Both of these reports are the actual reports from Experian, not from PG or the likes.

Maybe my "idea" of reaging is not the actual specific definion, someone please clear my hazy thinking?

to my knowledge experian is suppose to use the the date of status, when I called them about this they said no they go by the date reported which just confuses the consumer.

but I believe this is an attempt to re-age the acct if in fact they are to go by the date of status. I have just sent the FTC a letter asking them to clarify this very issue for me.

so Ill post their repply when I get it.

The applicable date for removal after 7 years is the date of first delinquency. It would appear that none of these dates are that date.
