Real Quick Questions

    There was a credit card I use to have years ago, I went to close it and they made me verify my SS# at that time I learned they did not have my correct SS# from the beginning...Now I have a debt collector contacting me in regards to this account.

    They have not sent me a validation letter, what step should I take or do?

    Secondly, if I were to dispute this with the CB, could they go back to see the account was opened with the wrong ss#?

    Send your request for debt validation to the CA, and be sure to do it within 30 days CMRRR.

    Also, did you fix the SSN error with the OC back when the account was closed?
