I'm planning to get my mortgage broker to pre-approve me for a first-time home loan next month. Could you pls tell me what I ought to be doing RIGHT NOW before he formally goes through his process? Should I pull all 3 of my own CRs? Pay off things or leave as is? (I owe very little money) PLEASE ADVISE!! I need all the advice you can offer. Many thanks in advance.
While it never hurts to pull all 3 before looking for a mortgage I suspect you will not be getting approved at anything short of loan-shark rates just 6 months out of a BK7. I'm still having problems getting decent rates and terms 3 YEARS out of a BK13 (that's 3 years after DISCHARGE, 6 years after filing).
