I have to say thank you board. since finding this board in April/May I have increased by score by 60 points, joined Lexington and sucked up enough nerver to apply for credit. I applied for the following: Cap 1 Visa gold--approved $200 Providian Small Biz Card---awaiting status Kmart MC--approved $300/200 Target----approved $200 Spiegel---denied Lane Bryant--awaiting status. So my total active credit mix: Citi Plat MC---$1400 Target---$200 Kmart MC---$300/200 Cap Gold Visa---$200 Where should I go from here? I want to increase my limits (on the newer cards). I have read on this board two strategies. 1. Don't use and they will send increases 2. Use PF to beg for increases better terms I have searched this board and could not find a PF letter. Which route is the best to take and I should probably cool it for a will because I have just been hit with six inquires within two week span.
Even with negative information reporting and 6 inquires? I have a few paid collection accounts and one that just popped up that I have fighting. On my TU: I have two paid negative On Equifax: I have two paid negative On Experian: I have five paid negative (two are duplicate)
Update onf credit applications: Cap 1 Visa gold--approved $200 increased to $700 Providian Small Biz Card---awaiting status Kmart MC--approved $200/100 Target----approved $200 Spiegel---denied Lane Bryant--denied Also a Ciitback Plat Select: $1400 (old college card converted) Yahoo, I really stronger now that the Sun is starting to shine! When will the impact of the 6 inquires soften? I want to stick to apply in waves that way they all drop off at the same time and are easy to keep track off. BTW, I will call back Speigel and Lane in 60 days after I have gotten my free credit reports and the chance to remove the negatives and for all of the new cards to show up. I have already used Target and Kmart inorder to generate a bill to force an earlier reporting. Damn I feel good. Does Providian usually take this long to approve online accounts? I saw both a hard and soft on my reports from Providian. I am rambling I am so excited......
Do you think the Providian Small Biz Card will report to your credit file? Most don't to let you know.
