Hello There, I really like BOFA, I only been with them since last oct and I have nothing but positive things to say about them.... they upgraded me to platinum from gold within a few months... gave me a good size credit line increase without a report and just in the mail yesteday I got a 4.99% for life offer on BT's and checks with no fees! wow this is like the best offer I seen yet with my credit cards. Thx, Kev
I got the same offer. I don't have it with me, but I think the offer is PRIME for life, not 4% for life, right?
Hello DaveLV, I don't have it with me either... all I remeber is the 4% for life... don't remember if it said prime for life or not I will check it when I get home.... and let you know... Thx, Kev
kevin, I received 4.00% fixed or prime rate BT checks until paid off (no transaction charges)from BofA Platinum Visa for every two to three months. You also do the transfer balances by logging on the websites.I keep my BofA Platinum Visa for the low ratebalance transfer Ron.
Hello Ron, Yup I guess I was one of the one's they pick... I talk to a rep today and they are very picky on who they make this kind of offers to... yeah I like bofa the new platinum card is pretty cool looking and a good credit line and apr as well... they are my primary card now... Thx, Kev
kevin, They give me 4.00% BT checks until paaid off because I have checking accounts with them and I have good credit. I got two Platinum Visa cards with them and one of them did the balance transfer. I like BofA because the customer representative , they didn't jacked up your rate as long as you keep the account in good standing and they don't close your account for you even you have good credit. Ron
You said the BofA was your main credit card. If you're going to use the balance transfer offer, PAY OFF THE CARD FIRST. Then do the BT, and don't use it again until the BT is paid off. Why? Because they apply your payment to the amount with the lowest interest rate first, and carry the higher rate line. This ends up costing you more interest in the long run. That's why I haven't taken advantage of their offer. I use my Dividend Miles Visa to get miles, and I don't want to be restricted from earning miles for months until I pay if off!
