    Hi everyone,
A little detail of my issue:
I switched my wireless carrier from T Mobile to AT&T in Oct. I had no pending bills to be paid. My billing cycle used to end on 4th of each month. I switched service on 3rd and gave a call to T Mobile on 4th to make sure that they knew that I was cancelling the service with them. (MY T Mobile was FlexPay. It had no contracts and I had to pay my bills in advance, ie before the start of billing month). T Mobile charged my bank account for the next billing month (amount was 49.26$). I called them up asking why I was charged; in response they credited my account the sum and everything was ok. Then in Jan 09 i received a bill of same amount from T MObile. I called them up again, they looked into the matter and told me to ignore the bill and that i dont owe them any money.
Now, few days back i received a call from a collection agency asking for money. I called T MObile again; they again said that I dont owe the money. But collection agency keeps calling me everyday. Today I looked it up on the internet and found out ur forum. I did found some useful info regarding dealing with collection agencies. I wanna know if anyone can offer any suggestion regarding my specific matter.

    I'll appreciate all inputs.

    Thank you

Start with a dispute and request for verification. Include the "it is inconvenient to call" text as well.

Search the site. Your letter should have about 4 lines (any more than that and you've found the wrong letter).

That should keep them quiet for a while.

Send the letter by U.S. Mail, Certified Mail and Return Receipt Requested. It's a pain, but you need to do this to take it to the next level, should that become necessary. If they call you after they receive your letter, but before they send you anything, don't get mad, just start taking notes because that can turn into putting some of THEIR money in YOUR pocket.
