I take back what I said in my last post! They want the balance plus 20%! spread over 12 months! $1,000 down and $600/month! For that they will show the debt as paid at the end. I'm told that for anything less the agreement will show JUDGEMENT on the CR! The slime bag attorney says this is AMEX's policy! This says to me they don't buy the BK possibility.
I was just reminded by a friend that we have a mutual friend who is a debt collection attorney. I'll call him either this weekend, or Monday morning and see if he can do anything to help. I'll report back the results!
Yes, Breeze, it is! In August/September we had medical emergencies which caused us to overuse AMEX... We also weren't working during the period... AMEX went unpaid!
