Hi, Please, do you know where I can find a sample letter about settelment offer that I can send to the collection company.If you know something that I can wright please posted for me. I also received 2 letters a day a go from the the collection company and, one of them it the same as the first one they send me like I mention on my first thread. The second letter said : CRS offers you ability to redeem your credit and making it possible to settel for a fraction of that is owed.You must not hesited and lose this opportunity to save money and effect a reporting change to your credit file. call now,don't pass up the chance. So, what is all this mean,and also what the meaning of reporting change to your credit file? They want me to calle them is it good idea to calle,or is it best to send them a letters? Also if I send settelment letter to the collection company,do I need to send them two and have them singe one and return it to me? and what I should put on it. Or do I just let them wright one back to me if the accept the offer? Please help Thanks so much.
Why does this post look familiar? It feels like I've replied to this already. Anyway, I don't recommend using templates, but you can always check out the Sample PFD in our Sample Letters section. I believe there are others in there that might help you too. Oh, and ignore all the other other mumbo jumbo about redeeming your credit. A paid collection is just as damaging to your credit scores as an unpaid one. Don't call them. As I've suggested before, keep your communication in writing and send your letters CMRRR. You only need to send them one.
