From reading posts here last week, I saw that at least two or three of you applied for the Citi AA cards in the middle of last week like I did. I got the "we will send you are decision by mail" message. Have the others who applied then gotten any response? I am just impatient and do not like calling. I would rather have my rejection by mail.
FYI if you get this letter, you will "the manual review". Something doesn't jive, on your application or credit report. Many times they'll pull another hardon at which time you can call to see if you have been approved or not. I've gotten 6 of these screens, I've also gotten 6 cards...
We applied for both on the 17th and got the "we'll let you know" messages. They pulled one hard inq (Equifax) at that time. They pulled another EQ hard inq on the 22nd. Welcome letters came on the 28th (dated the 23rd.) Combined and upgraded to Platinum Select on the 29th. Silver and gold cards came the 31st. Platinum replacement cards are supposed to arrive within a week. We're still amazed and very thankful to the helpful folks on this board.
