I owe Amex on their Green Card around 311.00 owed. At the beginning of the month they reported as follows according to mycreditkeeper.com EQ- CHARGED OFF ACCOUNT ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CREDIT GRANTOR Bad debt& placed for collection& skip EX-Credit line closed-grantor request-reported by subscriber Charge Off TU-Canceled by credit grantor Charged off as bad debt EQ shows OK except for 9/03 No Data showed for EX except for Charge Off 9/03 and 9/04 No account history showed for TU In the end of December all the Experian information dissapeared. Now for my question When I tried to get Amex to delete in exchange for pay using Planetfeedback they refused but said they will not attempt to collect the debt. on Saturday I got a letter requesting payment or the account may be turned over to a collection agency. Right now according to mycreditkeeper my scores are 628 EQ 671 EX and 603TU I can afford to offer them 78 a month for 4 months no problem. I plan to call them tomorrow and offer them that in exchage to delete my trade line. If they refuse to should I wait for them to sell it to a CA then try to get the CA to delete it?
