credit score sites what do you guys/gals use for the big three score reports? do you subscribe to each one individually or do you have a site out there that shows all three together? -mark
Re: credit score sites Scores TU is now offering a "LENDER" score - (I think through MyFico), search the board for the new TU offer because there is much debate and discussion over the INQuiry and the availability. Monitoring services (some of which have scores included) -Peace, Dave
Re: credit score sites so if I wanted to monitor scores from Transunion Equifax (the only true 'FICO' score) Experian I'd have to subscribe to three different services. I see. I'd just like to get out of the last bracket score-wise someday. Im in the 6 percentile according to experians scoring system..real bad thanks for your help
Re: credit score sites Yea, so far I know of no tri-merge with a score (real or fake) for the three separate CRA listings. TU's consumer (fake) score you can get when you order your report. If you did not, call TU up and tell them you requested a score with your last report but it never came, they will send. Worthknowing is worthnothing, but it is free too. You can use the free trial on CreditWatch (Equifax) and CreditExpert (Experian) to get your score from them free for 30 days. -Peace, Dave
Re: credit score sites I don't understand real FICO's and Fake FICO's. If a mortgage company tri-merges a report don't they get the scores we see and then don't they average them?
Re: credit score sites Simple answer, NO. The only true "lender score" we see (that I know of) is the Equifax MyFico.com score. There is a new TU score that supposedly shows you the same score the lenders see, but so far I have heard it may give you a hard inquiry, and I believe they still have some kinks to work out, so I am waiting on this one. I know of no place that shows you the same score that lenders see for Experian. The scores you get from TU (via mail) from Experian (through CreditExpert) and Eq (via eloan or other scores) are different algorithms which take into account different factors and weights and give you approximations of the scores lenders see. As far as mortgage approvals go they usually get scores from all 3 and throw out the highest and lowest score. As far as I know, they do not "average" the scores. -Peace, Dave
Re: credit score sites You can check eloan.com too. The eloan score is the same as my EQ FICO, but they pulled from my TU report. I think it's similar to the TU FICO, but mine was much higher than the TU fake score!
Re: credit score sites Sorry to bump this but... I would like to obtain my 'true' TU FICO if it's possible. I already have a mailed report and just want the score. I understand that the score given online is just a consumer score that is nothing close to the FICO. So where can I go to get a true TU FICO? Is my eLoan score as close as I can get?
Re: credit score sites Thanks for replying Jambe. I tried about a month ago, and was chastised for asking (guess I need to work on my schmoozing skills). Also, I don't want any hard pulls. Alternatives?
Re: credit score sites You can get your TU FICO score at their website. Once you enter in all of your info, then they ask if you want the "consumer" or "business" (FICO) version. The business version will basically show what your lenders will look at (it doesn't include soft inquiries at all). The cost is $12.95. You can go through ELoan to get your score. It has been pretty close for me: Date ELoan TU 7/02 668 675 8/02 707 706 Last collection got deleted and an AU reported! Also, ELoan is free. I don't know if it is always this close for others, so it may be better just to check your true TU FICO score. Hope this helps. BTW, I just checked my TU FICO over the weekend. I don't think it is a hard inq anymore!
Re: credit score sites Thanks much Baday! I have my eLoan, and thought it was pulled from TU, until I did a search and found some threads alluding to eLoan pulling from Equifax. I'm comfortable with my eLoan score as long as it's 'close' to what TU would report. I just needed to know ballpark for now. Equifax is the only CRA that removes currently disputed TL from FICO scoring, right?
Re: credit score sites As was discussed in the threads about it, you can confirm the E-LOAN thing by looking at your TU report...
