Some of the recent threads have indicated that having retail cards may improve your FICO score by improving the "mix" of your credit profile.

Does anyone have any specific recommendations on retail cards? Which ones haves you had no trouble with?

My FICO scores are int he 750 range, so getting accepted shouldn't be a big deal - I just have never bothered with store cards before.

everyone on here has stated that Target guest is easy to get with a minimum 650 FICO on equifax if applying online, but if applying in store many have said that TU have been used. I am a cardholder of the guest card with no problems, in fact after having the card for three months my credit line was bumped to 500 from 200 dollars. However, a word of caution in case you ever get in financial difficulties (BK), many Cnets posters have stated that they automatically get denied if applying for the card if they already had the card during a bk. Good luck with what company you apply for.
