My Equifax alert today told me that one of my ollllld student loans (which are in process of getting rehabbed) was modified. The status/rate remained a '5' which sux, but the 'COMMENTS ON ACCOUNT' section changed as follows: OLD: 'Closed Account; Student Loan assigned to government' NEW: 'Closed Account; Refinanced' Without running a new credit score (plus I have a lot of disputes in the works so would rather wait anyway and hopefully get shocked and amazed by a big score jump - I can dream LOL), can someone tell me if the COMMENTS ON ACCOUNT section means anything at all in this credit world, or is it just a fluff description field that means nothing? Thanks oh credit gurus!
