My fico score is 470 yuck I 'm thinking about refinancing my home and paying off all my debts except home of course, I owe about 111000. figure house is about 160-175000. Do you thnk I will be able to refi and would this help out my score? Debts are about 15000.
Have you paid all your mortgage payments on time? According to my mortgage broker, who helped me get a home 2 1/2 years ago, as long as you paid your mortgage on time lenders "overlook" everything else. I will be refinancing my home in December (I have a 3 year pre-payment penalty of $2650) so I am waiting. I have only been 30 days late one time in the last 2 1/2 years. Btw, my credit scores are between 500-560 depending on the report they pull. Could be worse now, I haven't checked lately, and have too many inquiries on my report trying to get a credit card.
