Refund from Original Creditor?

    Hello again all:

Mail call yesterday held an "interesting" surprise for me - a refund check from the original creditor (Charter). This came about 2 months AFTER I had paid the CA, some hard-nosed jerks who REFUSED to delete, although they had NEVER provided written notification to me about this debt, and I paid it basically off of my credit report.

I'm wondering if I can't use this, on top of the fact that I was never provided with notification, to force them to delete this annotation on my report (TU, which, of course, is my worst one!).

I'll bet you can use it. If I were you, I'd make a photocopy of that check and any correspondence that came with it and start formulating my plan of attack!
