Hello again all: Mail call yesterday held an "interesting" surprise for me - a refund check from the original creditor (Charter). This came about 2 months AFTER I had paid the CA, some hard-nosed jerks who REFUSED to delete, although they had NEVER provided written notification to me about this debt, and I paid it basically off of my credit report. I'm wondering if I can't use this, on top of the fact that I was never provided with notification, to force them to delete this annotation on my report (TU, which, of course, is my worst one!). A. J.
Things that make you go ..... hmmmmm Not sure about that... A.J.... Maybe someone will know this... I have NEVER got a refund...lol....!!
I'll bet you can use it. If I were you, I'd make a photocopy of that check and any correspondence that came with it and start formulating my plan of attack!
