sent two creditors certified letters to properly report my accounts as being included in bk. They are reorting then as collections,chargeoffs with balances. I explained to them that they are breaking the bankruptcy law by refusing to report them properly. Both debts were discharged in chapter 7. They both still refuse to fix it. They said they are not required to report them as being discharged in bk. Anything else I can do?
Send them a letter giving then five days to fix it along with a copy of the discharge (Send it CMRR). Cite the appropriate code sections of the bankruptcy code in your letter. This sets them up for a willful contempt of court b&^ch-slapping from a bankruptcy judge.
update after letting one of the creditors know I was going to file suit against them, they decided to delete the account from all three of my credit reports,they even faxed over a signed letter stating that and as of a few minutes ago I checked and they are gone.
