Is PsychDoc in da house? I've noticed many symptoms of this disorder since I discovered my credit was a steaming pile in July. 1) Intense anxiety around existing credit cards, leaving most at home (especially sub prime ones), and carrying balances. 2) Intense fear of buying something I couldn't get with cash if I didn't have the card. 3) Obsessions with disputes. 4) Obsessions with paying the bill the second the statement arrives, and paying a LOT more than minimum (like 10-30 times as much!) 5) Addiction to Creditnet. 6) Addiction to the mailbox. 7) Addiction to overapplying even though nothing more is needed or could be acquired right now (credit application sober right now) 8) Addiction to writing and rewriting lists of what cards I want to kill, what I'm going to buy and pay until April 2002, and what cards I want. 9) Terror at the balance. 10) Checking credit monitoring services, bank accounts, credit cards, at least once a day. I'm serious
Toooooooooo funny. Yep sounds like you need Doc for sure. Naw, I'm kidding I can relate to creditnet.com addict and using a few minutes at work to read posts and check on disputes etc. At least I'm not drinking though right?
And I thought I was alone Some of these habits are actually quite healthy, from a financial point of view anyway. Seems perfectly normal to me. -roman
Re: Regarding credit panic syndrome LOL, well done. Sounds like a candidate for the next revision of the DSM. Doc
