I remember reading somewhere that medical collections that are reported to the credit bureaus are only seen by the consumer and that all other businesses, agencies, etc. do not see these collections. Is this correct? If not, can someone give me some info. on the legality of reporting medical collections? thanx

Medical collections are not considered significant when businesses review your app for credit.

But it does affect credit score, right?

Yes, by my understanding. When I recently had a mdical collection deleted my score went up about 30 points.
