I am disputing a charge off with BankOne and a CA. I asked for validation and they responded with a letter stating that they did not have to provide copies of actual charges because of Reg. "Z". They stated that I had 60 days to dispute charges.

This is past the 4 years statue of limitation in Georgia. So I dont think that they can file suite aganist me in court but it is still being reported on my credit report as a charge off.

I believe they are referring to the Fair Credit Billing Act, which I think is part of TILA. They do not have to validate.

If its past the SOL, why don't you try to negotiate a payment for deletion?

1*-Bank One don't but the poster said there is a CA involved so the CA still must validate.
    2*-Why pay at all if beyond S O L ?
