I disputed a late payment on my student loan about 6 months ago with EQ. The result was that they deleted that item. I just pulled my credit and saw it listed there. I didn't receive any notification of reinsertion. What should be my next move? Should I dispute it again, or send then a copy of my CR stating that it was there last month and I didn't receive notice of reinsertion so therefore that item should be deleted?
Some times items are deleted and the CRAs never send you a letter with that result listed. You may have disputed the item and you may have not, but the negative disappears. However, if you disputed it and the CRA sent you a results page showing that it was deleted and now it is back on your report. All you have to do is send them a copy of the results page they sent you stating it was deleted and they will remove it because they did not notify you within 5 days of re-insertiion.
