Hello, I am hoping to get answers here. I purchased a vehicle for my wife back in 2004. Long story short, we separated and she continued paying the vehicle as far as I know. In 2014 the vehicle was given to our son. He is now trying to sell it and come to find out there is still a lien hold on it due to unpaid balance. My ex wife swears she paid it off. The original creditor was Nuvell Credit Corporation (bought out by Ally Financial). According to Ally Financial, the debt (about $700) is now with Radius Collection. I've checked my credit reports and this debt is not showing on any of my credit reports (too old, I guess). Is there a way to get the lien released from Radius without having to pay the supposed balance?
