I PAID OFF A JUDGMENT LAST YEAR, IT IS STILL ON MY CREDIT REP. I COULD GET A LETTER FROM THE ORIGINATOR REQUESTING THAT IT BE REMOVED FROM MY REPORT, WOULD THIS BE ENOUGH FOR CREDIT BUREAU TO REMOVE? IT WAS A PERSONAL ASSOCIATE WHO FILED THE JUDGMENT AND WE STILL COMMUNICATE AND HE HAS ACKNOWLEDGED HE WOULD GIVE ME A LETTER FOR THE PAID OFF JUDGMENT AND A REQUEST TO REMOVE.
I'm not as experienced as most of the people on this site, but I have dealt with judgements being removed from my credit report as a result of it being VACATED. I believe your associate is going to have to go to the court where he filed the judgement and request to have the judgement VACATED not "satisfied". Make sure he gets someone at the courthouse that knows exactly how to handle this because believe me they can royally screw it up and the credit bureau will not delete a "Satisfaction", but they will delete a "Vacated" order. Make sure it has been signed by a judge and send a copy to the credit bureaus with a letter.
