I have researched and researched and cannot find what I need. I am not a newbie and have succesfully had deleted approximately 15 chargeoffs from my reports in the past 6 months. Hooray for me !

    PROBLEM:
I now have several closed accounts which have some 30, 60 and 90 day lates. I have read all bout the goodwill letters and the nutcase series but none seem to apply to this scenario. I am not looking to have the entire tradeline deleted which the nutcase series may do if sent. A goodwill letter admits that you were late and then what do you do if they refuse?

It is like a catch 22. I hope some of the seasoned vets of the board can help. Once again I have researched this for weeks but fail to come up with a good answer. I think we need to get a good answer and have it posted on the FAQ's section also.

Looking forward to your feedback and discussion...

    Alex

Why not still force validation? If you are concerned that the late statuses are dragging down your scores then having the items deleted would seem like the more appropriate route to take. If you get to the point where you are forced to sue, then you can request the removal of the derogatory information regarding the late statuses to be removed via a settlement or judgement. Also, are these open accounts?

No Tiger they are all closed accounts. My goal was to keep the tradeline but rid myself of the late pays. I have already disputed with the CRA's and they came back with no changes.

What tactic did you use to remove the charge offs??? I have a couple from original creditor that are paid & am trying to gather a plan of attack that I might have a chance at!!!!

What will harm you more, the loss of the TL or the inclusion of the late pays? If the late pays are causing a problem, then deletion is the way to go. Is this from a mortgage or a CC/revolving debt.

As for the way to go for chargeoffs, if they are unpaid chargeoffs then validation, if paid collections then "nutcase".

These are not chargeoffs - they are accounts which were paid in full but with a few late payments. Good Standing accounts....

I sent off 30 day val then estoppel with no response in most cases and then an ITS via email to each companies CEO once I racked up the violations and they failed to respond to the estoppel. I would say something like: By virtue of your silence according to the Doctrine of Estoppel By Silence you must remove your ilegal tradelines. I also told each OC that I had been denied credit based solely on thier tradeline and that I could prove damages.

Most of them responded by saying: It appears that these accounts were opened fraudulently and we will be removing our tradelines ASAP and so they did. I did harass them every other day though. What busy CEO wants my email cluttering his inbox. Besides - what is $1000 to a multi million or billion $$ company. I think they just wanted me to go away.
