I had posted a previous thread about a credit card that was opened up by my brother without my consent. I have sucessfully deleted the deliquent credit card from my Trans. & Experian credit report. However Equifax is tough to deal with. No matter what kind of paper work i send them it isnt doing any justice. They go back to the original creditor and claim its accurate. The original creditor says they cant do anything unless its fraud. Problem is i cant claim fraud now because my brother signed a responsible party affidavit. The debt collection agency found me not responsible for both accounts. I have a letter stating that i am not the responsible party, it shows both account #'s on it. Is there a law or something that states that the origincal creditor must delete there tradeline from my report if i have been found as the person NOT responsible for these accounts by the debt collection agency?

It sounds like you have taken every reasonable step to resolve the matter on your own. It's time to check with local attorneys. Since this sounds like it's going to wind up being a violation of the FCRA, and since the FCRA allows you to sue for your legal expenses, you may be able to find a competent attorney who will not only fix your report and collect damages on your behalf, but who will do so at no fee to you.
