Whats the best approach to dispute an account included in bankruptcy?

My TU file also shows Federal District $0 liab $0 asset but I'd like to remove the accounts showing in BK before disputing this.

What info. do you need to full a file? I really doubt the existence of a computer record of mine, as they were unable to locate my file in June of this year after searching every conceivable way in Lee's Summit, MO archives

    I mean 'pull' a file!

I would remove the bankruptcy first, because then it does not make any sense that there would be accounts in bankruptcy.

    When disputing the bankruptcy...

Do you say it is just inaccurate
    or
Do you say inaccurate and a specific reason why
(anything to avoid using as a dispute?)

my reports do not conatin all the case numbers and on one it just says

    bankruptcy filing
    and an entered date.

I disputed with EX online on the 9th and I just checked credit expert tonight and it says it was verified already and remains unchanged.

    The problem is...
How could they have verified it if the case # is missing some #'s and the address of the court in incorrect.

Any suggestions on the next approach?

CRA'S CUT CORNERS EVERY DAY...my wife had two accounts that were reported as...

    "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CREDIT GRANTOR"...
    Then VERIFIED twice...

We have proof SHE closed it...copy of letter with credit card attached, certified R/R receipt, signed green card and their letter that says "PER YOUR REQUEST, WE HAVE CLOSED YOUR ACCOUNT...IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND, CALL US 24 HOURS 7 DAYS A WEEK".

They verify by means of an automated phone system the Bankruptcy court has. They don't need a ss# or case #. They can enter your name, and if it matches they say it's verified.

I continued to dispute even though they claimed to have verified mine. Eventually, it was removed from Equifax and Experian, but, TU as usual refuses to budge on it. So, just keep disputing it.

do you have best results online or with a letter?

did you dispute immediately when it came back verified?

With equifax, I called them when they verified it and questioned the rep, "How can you verify something that doesn't exist"? She asked what I wanted her to do and I told her to verify it like you're supposed to do and then delete it when it can't be verified. It was removed within 10 days, although it did exist as a filing. I didn't go through with the bk.

do you think that would work for me?

I did go through with it.....

did you tell them you just filed and did not go through with it or did you just dispute as you didn't at all?

Is everything about the listing correct? Meaning, date filed, date discharged, amounts, case #. If there is anything on there that is incorrect, I would use that as a basis for my dispute. I wouldn't recommend lying about anything in a dispute.

Yes, the court address is wrong(don't know how important that is) and the case number is short 3 numbers

Why would this even be reportable?

They claim that because it was filed, it is now reportable as "filed......dismissed". Experian and Equifax both deleted it.

Why would that make it reportable?
