Removing Bk's

    Has anyone had luck removing BK's from credit reports? If so, how difficult was it to have it removed?

    Are you at the same address that you were when you filed BK? If you have moved, have the old address removed from your credit report. You can the dispute the BK as not yours. I have helped a few friends have their BK removed. The best course of action is to have the individual TLs removed first and then hit the BK notation.

    Mine came off of TU really easy!! The case number was off a few digits so I used that. The accounts I've had no luck with. I haven't tried the address technique, but it would probably be my only hope on Ex & Eq. I've had no luck with getting them off the Pr's on those. Everything they're reporting is correct. :(

    TU is easy to remove BKs. I challenged mine as "I never filed a 0 Asset 0 Liability BK." They deleted the CH7. I haven't redisputed the 13. I did the same with EX and both BKs were deleted. I have tried all sorts of methods with EQ with no success. Both verified. I was hoping for the BK7 to leave since it is 9.5 yrs old. No luck!

    I can tell you from my own experience that EQ will not remove it, even if the address is not listed. (EX and TU are easier). My Ch13 is 8 years old, so I don't have any TLs that show "included in BK", nor is my old address listed on the EQ report anywhere. Yet, they keep verifying it sure enough.

    I have heard that they have to match 2 out of 3 of these: name, SSN & address. Obviously the CRA will easily have both your name and SSN to verify because it's all over the public record, as well as EQ records. I guess that's what makes it next to impossible to remove. But keep trying--some people do have success, but I am convinced that it is only a fluke. :-(

    eq removed
    tu verified
    Nothing on exp.

    bk date on reports was 94.

    Equifax - deleted
    Experian - deleted
    TU - deleted after numerous attempts.

    Hey:

    I have my BK from 7-93 left on just 2 reports. I will be danged if I can get it removed. I have tried obsolete, not removed. I have tried not mine, not removed. Any other help?

    I will need to remove an old address on one CRA that was connected to it, but otherwise WTF??? How to get it removed? Wait til 7-03? I thought those things usually come off about 3 months before the actual file date?
