I have seen posts where people have been successful in having inquiries removed from their credit reports. If you draft up a letter and send it to the credit bureau with a list of your inquiry page, wouldn't that trigger them to red flag your credit report for fradulent activity? I have inquiries that I would like to have removed, but I don't want to make the situation worse.
Just got off the phone with the credit bureau, I was told that you cannot dispute inquiries and they cannot be changed from one status to another. Could you post the letter that you sent them or how you went about having the inquiries removed? Thanks.
I think the CRA's have a lot more at their discretion than they let on. As I posted above, I got a great rep at Trans Union, and pointed out that I would not have applied for MBNA four times in the last 6 months, and I thought they were annual reviews. (Two were, but the other two had to do with line increase requests, and I didnt know at the time that they pulled the report for that.) I also got the addresses for the various creditors on my reports, and send them each a letter saying if they didnt have a signed app from me, to delete them. I believe I got that letter from a post by Lizardking, do a search and maybe give that a try? I pointed out that I thought they should be under the part of the report that only the comsumer sees. She agreed and deleted them. I got the report yesterday and they were gone. Unfortunately, no one seems to pull Trans Union where I live, but its good to have them off. I think the reps can delete anything they darn well please, and what you got is just a stock answer. Try calling.
