Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. Before reading here I have been paying diligently on accounts held by collection agencies. Since I have already been paying , is it to late to negotiate with them to remove negative information from my credit report? What should I request specifically?
ex: 1500.00 school debt, now 700.00 left to pay.
    Thanks!

no. You can send a validation letter at any time. If they can validate, then you can offer payment for deletion. Never admit that the debt is yours.

Thanks Erica! I think I have already admitted the debt was mine when paying as per a conversation with their agent. But, I did not know I could ask for validation and then request deletion for payment.
