I was declined for a credit line increase on 12/14. I wrote a letter via PFB to Citibank and through Citibank's account online. I received a dismissive reply from the account online folks. Just as I was getting ready to cancel my cards, I get a phone call today from Citibank's answer to Mr. Cooke at Capital One. Appears the PFB letter actually gets looked at. He said that he would ask for a manual review of my credit line increase at the excecutive level when I faxed him an updated copy of my credit report. Also said he would look into my Universal Bank chargeoff.....Perhaps Mr. Weil is getting the picture.
Here is the update....Not more than 2 hrs later, was given a credit line increase without another hard inquiry. (He had his rep look at giving me an increase even though in our earlier conversation, he had said to wait until my updated TU report came). Was also told that I could use the increase to open another account with Citibank if I so chose? Any ideas on whether or not it is worth it? I have a chargeoff with Universal so there is no way a new card is getting approved unless it is by this method.
I might have missed something here, but what does mister cooke have to do with citibank? There is problably a thread that was before this one. Haven't been following the post to much lately.
He was just giving an analogy; like Mr. Ellison, Oracle's answer to Mr. Gates at Microsoft. Mr. Cooke has nothing to do with Citi.
Ahhh, IC. I was wondering what the hell mister cooke was doing at citibank lol. Breeze- lol, I guess with this post I was just dumbfounded. I had no idea what I was reading.
Sorry. I guess I made it clear as mud. Well, you know the old saying, If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, blind them with BS (Blown Snow, of course. What'd you think I meant?).
Ya'll are hilarious. I forgot to give the number to the guy at Citibank who handles PFB requests. His name is Troy Kasma and he can be reached directly at 605-731-3248. Please do not blow up his phone. Send your request to PFB wait 7-10 days then call and ask what is the status of your request. Happy holidays.
