My father-in-law is renting a car to go away with his wife for the weekend. He mentioned that I could not help him pick up the car because I was not listed as a driver and that they would have to do a credit check on me. Apparently he said the rental car agency told him they check the credit of all drivers. This is a shock to me. I have used Enterprise before. If you have a decent driver record, car insurance, and a major credit card WHY would they do a credit check. The guy renting him the car is his next door neighbor who works for the company. How can this be true?
