Anyone know what the actual time frame is that a CA has to tell a CRA that a tradeline/account is being disputed? I would think IMMEDIATELY, and before they even think about sending ANY validation out...any thoughts?

    Immediately, yes, & no...

Under the FCRA, the furnisher is required to report any changes, to any of the information, as soon as (possible after) they realize that there is a change to that information.

However, unless the failure to update is in response to a request from the CRA, that isn't sueable.

This is another reason to follow the validation with a CRA verification.
