I just submitted a complaint online alleging Equifax of using false advertising with their CreditWatch service. It states you can pull UNLIMITED copies of your credit report, and it limits you to only ONE per 24 hours, so that, to me, is false advertising, and they should either revert back to the pull as you please method, or add a disclaimer CLEARLY stating one can only get their report once every 24 hours. I hope others will report them too. Strength in numbers should work well. -Matty
i've emailed them about this, they havent responded..have sent the same email 10 times, each time updating the subject with 'resend #9' 'resend #10' etc. they will respond to other questions in a few days, but not the question/complaint about the 24 hour pulls. up until a few weeks ago I could pull as many reports during the day as I wanted btw. It just started happening to me recently. Im 100% sure of this, as I have my old reports below with multiple pulls throughout the same day
My thing about this is that when I signed up, I signed and PAID for what they advertised....unlimited. It wouldn't make me a happy camper if they just add the disclaimer to the website because I am not getting what I paid for. When you report to the BBB can you explain just what your complaint is?? I have never went to the BBB before Thanks
Yes, you can describe your problem in 4000 characters or less. It's pretty easy to do and my complaint went right through to them.
Here's my take on this. Multiple pulls are going to be available again. THE SAME DAY THEY GET THE BUMPAGE PROBLEM FIXED SO THAT IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ANYMORE!!! For those who want to pull multiple times because you like to see your report a lot, you have nothing to lose....blast away. For those who want multiple pulls so you can make your bumpage happen quicker, or for those who simply like the fact that bumpage happens, you are shooting youselves and others like you in the foot with every complaint about Equifax not providing what they're advertising. You're giving them more and more incentive to fix the problem. You're right, they're advertising unlimited access. We're not getting it. We should be. This is given. What I'm getting for my CW subscription right now (bumpage) is worth one heck of a lot more to me than pulling my report several times a day. I am doing NOTHING to make EQ want to fix their system faster. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I'll take what I'm getting right now and am thrilled to do so. The 69.95 x 2 we spent on CW has by far returned to us the most value of any money we spent throughout this journey. Bumpage is not what EQ intended, but what we're getting now in this household is a whole lot better than it's going to be when they've fixed their system (as some of their customers are demanding) and we can pull our reports as many times a day as we want. DemPooches
Very well said DemPooches!!! And I agree 100%. BTW....for those not aware, even when pulling as many as you want per day, you still only got bumpage the first pull. So it won't help to have multipe pulls per day anyway! mysti_summer
If you need bumage quick, there is one thing you can do, but it is expensive. You can order score power buy 3 get 1 or just a single score power. You can still only pull 1 score power AND 1 CW each day, but you get 4 instead of 2 inq's, and lose 4 also. But, as I said, it can get expensive. I discovered this a few weeks ago when I realized I had a couple score powers left from way back.
I honestly wasn't wanting to pull several a day for bumpage. It just seems that when I pull it and then later sometime on certain days there are changes and I would like to be able to pull it again to see the results as far as the score goes. I know I can look at the archives section to see what was changed but can't see the change it may have made in my score
I agree w/ DemPooches. The 39.95 x 2 I spent for our CW was worth it. The ONLY reason I got it was for bumpage, and we lost about 12 hards between us, w/ one more gone tomorrow. I want it to last forever, because we want to start looking at mortgages, even though we're not quite ready. I know they are going to pull a ton over the next year. I'd be happy to have them all gone again when it comes to really go mortgage shopping.
