I have a civil court judgement in my favor against a guy who hit my car and had not auto insurance. I won by default and got awarded the total amt. This was 2 yrs ago and he hasn't paid me a DIME! So, I'm wondering about how to report this to the CRA? Does it automatically get added after it is ordered or do I physically have to send it to the CRA's to get it added? I do not have his SS# so how is this done?

Check with the Court Clerks Office. In many states, judgments are placed on computer files and periodically reported to the CRA's automatically.

Why don't you just go to the courts and obtain their help in collecting your money.

I have! That is what I have been doing for the past 2 years. No assets, no property reported, no job, and I hired a collection agency to collect and he refused to pay. They said his credit is so bad he has no positives on it so they are gonna put a mark on it but what do I do in the meantime. I am to the bottom of my rope and want him to pay me for these damages! I even went to the extent to get his drivers license suspended for non-payment (I'm in Florida) so I'm hoping one day he'll get caught! The sad thing is I have a piece of paper stating he owes me plus interest for the past 2 yrs and I can't find any property to levy, no job to garnish, nothing! So, I just wanted to know if judgements are automatically added to credit or do I have to do that too. I wanna cover ALL my bases. This is all I can do right now.
