I have been working on my credit for about 2 months now. I am starting to see results. I have disputed everything that does not say included in bk as "not mine". My question is the ones that are reporting included in bk, should they not say "included in bk balnce $0.But none of them do, they say included in bk/past due 120 days,or they show a past due balance? How should i fix this? I plan on trying to get them removed, but it is driving me crazy they are reporting like this. THANKS...

    I share your pain!

THere are 2 schools of thought on this. SOme of the OC's will zero out their balances immediately after a bk is filed. They are all going to report the status of the account at the time of filing--i.e. if you filed on 1/1/03 and you had not paid on any of the cards since 9/02, they would report 120 days past due AND included in bk. Some OC's wait until the discharge to zero the account out. It muddies the water further if you filed a CH13 (like me). If this is the case, they can carry that balance for 3 or more years while you are paying off your plan.

One thing to watch out for while they are carrying those balances. I have found that they will reage the account periodically. I am fighting with Chase over this right now. You will see your score improve as time passes. My bk was 2 1/2 years ago. About 3 months ago Chase reaged an acct that was included in the bk to have a date of last activity of 10/02. Our scores dropped 90 points in a single day. This account had been closed since 10/00. Just keep an eye out for that!

Good luck, keep us posted on your progress. Do not send the CRA's a copy of your bk papers!
