What can I do about a collection account that must have been reporting 'In Dispute" for the last 3 years?? Do I validate and dispute with cra even though it shows in dispute already?? Will it effect anything since it is showing unrated...I think I want it removed correct or is it making a difference??
If you put the in dispute on their as a consumer statement and they can prove you sent that in to them, then you can request to have it taken off. If the CRA has it as in dispute tell them that they have 48 hours to delete. It just proves that they haven't verified or checked. If the CA has it as in dispute, call the CRA and tell them that you have been disputing this with the CA for 3 years and they refuse to even answer you and have kept the entry on and feel that this is proper validation or a solution to your issue. Tell them that you want to start an investigation with the CA. Is this CA Asset by any chance? They are notorious for putting items on your credit report, but not putting a status.
It is IC Systems for an apartment I lived in 5 years ago and paid them in full. It looks like my mortgage broker disputed it at some point/somewhere. I know I never did. But it is showing In dispute with No Status. So I can call CRA and ask it to be disputed even though it states "in dispute"? If I read the boards correctly my plan of action should be: 1)send CCRR a validation request to CA 2)after I get green card, dispute with CRA 3)cross fingers and hope it disappears in 30 or less days Thank you for your response
This cant be true and if it is I need to read and re-read the law yet again... I just talked to IC systems and they said since I questioned the account at the beginning that they are required by law to show this account in dispute forever. Is this true and doesnt that mean since it states "unrated" that it isnt hurting my score???
1*I just talked to IC systems and they said since I questioned the account at the beginning that they are required by law to show this account in dispute forever. 2*doesnt that mean since it states "unrated" that it isnt hurting my score??? Jenasea9 ***************************** 1*False 2*False
So what can I do...I tried yesterday to dispute and instigate through CRA and they said I couldnt because it is "in-dispute"...when I stated it had been listed that way for 3 years she didnt care because that was how the CA was reporting. I know the only proof they have is a supposed itemize apartment listing...so that does that mean they do not have proper validation material and then should I just send validation letter?? It is from last activity 98 and balance date and reported date of 4/2001 but I know the reported date is incorrect because it was on my report in 99 when I bought my house.
