First I'll like to thanks PsychDoc and Marie for this powerfull letter.. Today I got this response from GMAC from a Goodwill adjustment letter I send them few weeks back... " I'm in reciept of your letter dated 2-4-02. Your account is no longer in the GMAC database to VERIFY your pay history. Based on the request of the letter, if GMAC were to alter the credit report as you have requested , we would not be reporting the information completely. We suggest that you contact the credit bureau and insert a comment in your file regarding of the credit experience." I think this one is a winner. The wording " is no longe in the GMAC database to VERIFY" said it all, but the one I don't like is " if GMAC were to ALTER the credit report as you have requested" This is an account that were reported 4-30 days late, paid in full 1.5 years ago. I had disputed it with all 3 CRA but only TU came back with "paid/ not rated". Yesterday I sent EQ another dispute using TU as verification of source, but now I will sent this back to EX using this letter and TU new updated. I think they'll Updated to paid/Never late... Again Thanks DOC and Marie and everyone who has in one way or another post GOOD information on this Board..

I got a similar response from bofa. But, when I looked at my credit report they had deleted the late pays from 2 cra. I don't know if I should dispute or just send the other reports as proof.
