Today I received a letter from Providian. It was the last day they had to reply to the 15 day paid validation letter I sent them. They did not validate, just sent letter stating that they had received my letter, they appreciated doing business with us, and they are in the process of researching all of the issues stated in my letter,we will contact you as soon as possible. How should I respond to this, they did not validate? Should I give them more time?
I received the same response from them when I attempted to validate. They sent me statements and a copy of a check I sent to them about 15-20 days later. You may want to give them a few more weeks. LB
This creditor is an old settled account from 1999, I would like to get it deleted, I'm just worried they need more time to find something on the account. If they don't have anything at this time, and they don't respond soon, I could send all info I have to the CRA's and get it deleted.
You can try that option....that's what I'm doing also. Hopefully the CRA will delete.....they don't need to know that the creditor did verify!!!! LB
