On 8/12/02 I sent letters to both TU & Experian requesting them to delete an account & a previous address that was incorrect. Today I got responses back from both. Experian sent me my credit report- no changes on it- and a form to dispute inaccurate info. All TU sent was a note about fees charged by credit repair companies...not even mentioning the fact that I had disputed anything! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? I thought I was very clear in my original letters! I stated what I was disputing, why, and what I would like done about it! Can someone please give me an idea on what to write back to them? The other day that stupid Collection America jackass called me, and now this! Sorry to sound so PO'd...but these people are such idiots.

If it was clearly a dispute then they still have time to investigate.

Why don't you call and ask for the status?

Should I wait until the 30 days are up, then go after them for failing to investigate? These letters I recieved don't mention anything about investigating my request, so I figure they probably aren't going to...

Did you send the letters certified? If you did then maybe you get them on that. If not, then they could just say they never received anything. It is probably best to call if you did not send certified.

What should I say to them if I call? I hate talking to people on the phone...I always end up sounding like a fool or saying something I shouldn't

Tell them that you sent a letter to dispute the items that are on your report. And you want to know if the items are under investigation.
